Operational Capacity 2024/2025
Trustees on 12th February 2025 agreed to set an operational capacity at Swallowdale of 44 in Yr 1 – This is an update to the original limit set on December 10th 2024.
Swallowdale Year R/1 currently has 2 classes of 30 pupils and a Year 1 class with 29 pupils.
The operational capacity limit will help the school avoid a breach of the 30 child class limit in each of these classes and avoid class organisation which is detrimental to student learning.
Operational Capacity 2025/2026
Trustees on 12th February 2025 agreed to set an operational capacity at Swallowdale of 43 pupils in Year 1.
Swallowdale currently operates runs two mixed age R/1 classes and a further class with pupils aged appropriate to year 1.
The operational capacity limit in year 1 is being set to help avoid a breach of infant class sizes.
